This is a science driven award and is self-nominated by members of the APS. Individuals nominating can come from all sectors where pharmaceutical scientists work, which is reflected in the criteria for eligibility.

Prof. Dennis Douroumis (University of Greenwich) APS ScienceAward Winner PharmSci 2017

The APS Award Lecture is sponsored by Astra Zeneca and invites pharmaceutical scientists who are a member of the APS to nominate researchers from across the globe in academia, industry, public service or other scientific establishments.

The individual nominated should have demonstrated, scientific contribution where work should be outstanding and ambassadorial in their area with an international reputation and have a broad scientific awareness

Prof David Jones (Queens University Belfast) Innovative Science Award Winner PharmSci 2017

The Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences present the Innovative Science Award sponsored by GlaxoSmithKline at PharmSci and invite pharmaceutical scientists to submit an application.

Entrants are welcome from researchers from across the globe in academia, industry, public service or other scientific establishments. The individual applicant should have demonstrated, through published work, a significant innovation which has the potential for application within the pharmaceutical industry.

The Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences presents the Emerging Scientist Award and invite emerging pharmaceutical scientists to submit an application.

Entrants are welcome from researchers from across the globe in academia, industry, public service or other scientific establishments. Applicants should be no more than 10 years since award of their PhD, have an outstanding track record (for this stage of their career) indicative of excellent potential.

Submission Criteria

Both nominations and self-nominations are welcome. Submission should include:• Complete CV including full list of publications, research grants awarded, details of PhD supervision, list of invited presentations etc.• A one-page cover letter, highlighting key achievements of the candidate and suitability for the award.
